You can try any Sonnox plugin free for 15 days before buying. This guide explains how to request and activate your trial licence so you can explore the plugin’s features in your own setup.
Before starting a trial, make sure you have:
- A free iLok account (create one at www.ilok.com).
- The latest version of iLok License Manager installed (download from www.ilok.com).
- An internet connection for the licence activation.
How to Start Your Trial
Option 1 – Trialling via the Plugin's Product Page
- Visit the Sonnox website and open the product page for the plugin you want to try.
- Click Take a Free Trial.
- You’ll receive an email with a link to download the plugin installer.
- Install the plugin on your Mac or Windows computer.
- Launch your DAW and insert the plugin on a track.
- When the iLok activation screen appears, click Try.
- Sign in to your iLok account.
- Choose where to activate your trial:
- iLok USB key (portable)
- Your Computer (Machine Authorisation)

Option 2 – Trialling via the Sonnox Installer Page
- Download the plugin's installer from the Sonnox Installer Page.
- Install the plugin on your Mac or Windows computer.
- Launch your DAW and insert the plugin on a track.
- When the iLok activation screen appears, click Try.
- Sign in to your iLok account.
- Choose where to activate your trial:
- iLok USB key (portable)
- Your Computer (Machine Authorisation)
- iLok Cloud Session (requires an active internet connection)
What Happens Next
- The plugin is now ready for you to evaluate, with all features enabled.
- The trial licence will be available for 15-days from the day you activate it in the iLok Licence Manager application.
