This guide explains how to install Sonnox plug‑ins on Avid VENUE S3L and S6L systems running VENUE v8+ or VENUE v4–7.

Installation – VENUE v8+

Live Licence – Sonnox Live Bundle

1. Prepare Licence – Move your Live Bundle licence to your VENUE iLok.
2. Download Installer – Get the VENUE Live bundle from Sonnox Downloads.
3. Copy to USB – Create Plug‑Ins folder and copy .aaxplugin files.
4. Install on VENUE – In Config mode → Plug‑Ins tab → Install → Restart VENUE.

HD‑HDX Licence – Oxford Plug‑ins

1. Prepare Licence – Move your HD‑HDX licences to your VENUE iLok.
2. Download Installer – Get Windows AAX‑DSP/HDX installer from Sonnox Downloads.

3. Extract Bundles – Install on a Windows PC and copy .aaxplugin from:

   C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug‑Ins

4. Copy to USB – As above, into Plug‑Ins folder.
5. Install on VENUE – Config mode → Plug‑Ins tab → Install → Restart VENUE.

Installation – VENUE v4–7

Same as above, but use the legacy VENUE Live installer or legacy VENUE HDX installer instead of v8+ versions.

Troubleshooting

• Missing Presets – Reinstall the correct VENUE‑compatible plug‑in version.
• Not Authorising – Ensure correct iLok is connected with the correct licence.
• Performance Issues – Reduce number of DSP‑heavy plug‑ins in session.
