I have an AMD “Zen 5” based CPU and my Sonnox Plugin is not working.

Modified on Mon, 21 Oct at 12:03 PM

There is currently a known compatibility issue with PACE's iLok protection software and AMD “Zen 5” based CPUs (Ryzen 9000, Ryzen AI 9, Ryzen AI 300, etc.)

This issue affects all software that are protected by iLok, and is due to a bug in the AMD CPU architecture, which impacts the way certain protection features in iLok-enabled software work.

iLok.com have released a new version of iLok Licence Manager 5.9.1 that provides a flash fix for this issue. However, all plugin vendors are required to implement the fix and release updates in order for this to take affect.

This means all Sonnox plugins are still unsupported on this type of system.

AMD have also addressed this issue, and will be releasing firmware updates in the coming weeks that will provide a more fullproof fix. So we ask all Sonnox AMD users with this problem to await this firmware update before trying to use your plugins.

While we wait for updates from AMD, we advise all Sonnox users to not install their plugins on the AMD systems listed above. We will provide more information on compatibility with these systems as and when we have it. Further information can also be accessed at iLok.com -
