They were purchased with an Educational discount.
They are part of the Live Bundle for VENUE — these remain locked to the original account.
Transfer Costs
For the Seller (current licence owner)
iLok charges a $25 USD fee per licence.
If transferring two or more licences at the same time to the same account, the fee is capped at $50 USD.
For the Buyer (new licence owner)
Must re‑register the plug‑in in their own name.
This ensures they can manage their licence and access Sonnox Support in the future.
Step‑by‑Step Solution
1. Create the Transfer in iLok License Manager
Sign in to iLok License Manager.
Right‑click the licence you want to transfer → Transfer Licence.
Enter the iLok User ID of the person receiving the licence.
Double‑check the details — transfers cannot be undone once processed.
Proceed to payment and pay the applicable transfer fee.
2. Sonnox Transfer Review
Sonnox Support will check that your licence is eligible for transfer.
If eligible, we will contact you with re‑registration instructions for the recipient.
3. Buyer Re‑registration
The buyer must complete re‑registration with Sonnox using the details we provide.
This step links the licence to the new owner for support purposes.
4. Final Approval
Once re‑registration is complete, Sonnox will approve the transfer.
The licence is now officially owned by the new account.
Note: If re‑registration takes place over a weekend or holiday, please allow extra time for approval.
