Sonnox plugins use iLok for licensing authorisation. You can activate your licences to up to 2 different locations, depending on the plugin range and the licence type.
You can activate your Sonnox licence on an iLok Cloud session, a local machine (computer), or a physical iLok USB key (2nd or 3rd Gen).
Prerequisites
Before you can activate a licence, you need to have the following:
- A valid iLok account (create one here).
- Your iLok User ID and iLok‑registered email address.
- The latest version of iLok License Manager installed (download here).
- The latest version of your Sonnox plug‑ins installed (download here).

2. Follow compatibility requirements.
- Machine Activation requires the latest Sonnox plug‑in version which is Generation 5 (G5).
- G4 Oxford licences must be upgraded to G5 to use Machine or Cloud activation.
- G5 licences are not compatible with the original iLok 1.
