iLok Machine Activation allows you to activate your licence directly to your computer. No iLok USB or Cloud session is required alongside this, but these activation options can be used alongside machine activation.

Prerequisites

Before you can activate your Sonnox licence to your machine, please ensure you have:

• Downloaded the latest installer for your Sonnox plugin (download here).
• Installed the latest version of the iLok License Manager (download here).
• Deposited your Sonnox licence into your iLok account.

How To Activate Your Sonnox Licence To Your Machine

1. Launch the iLok Licence Manager application.
2. Log in to your iLok account.
3. Deactivate any existing activations.

   • If your licence is currently on an iLok USB or in the iLok Cloud:

     - Locate the licence in the All Licences tab.

     - Right‑click and choose Deactivate

   • The licence will now appear in the Available tab.
4. Activate the licence to your device.
   • Drag the licence from the Available tab to This Computer.
   • Alternatively, you can right-click the licence and select Activate > This Computer.
   • The licence icon should update to show a computer symbol, indicating the licence is now activated to your machine.

Troubleshooting

• If the machine activation option is not showing, check that both your plugin and iLok License Manager are updated to the latest versions. You can update your software from the Sonnox Installer Page and the iLok Website.

• If the licence won’t activate to your computer, make sure the licence has an available activation.

A: Yes. You can freely choose between USB, Machine, or Cloud activation.
